heres some things which can seperate the kids:
secret clock gate, butcher's hook, scary neighbor's rage (you can become invincible the whole time while youre catching a kid if you time it correctly), taxidermist's gun (if you manage to down all of them or all but one you can safely catch one of them), scary neighbor's bear traps (same way as taxidermist's gun), increased damage dealing perk (same way as taxidermist's gun), clown's smoke bomb (same reason as taxidermist's gun + can hide in it while catching a kid) taxidermist's portable sonar (can close secret gates from afar), guest scary croak (helps a lot in places with lots of obstacles which can block thrown items), ghost blocking doors
so yeah, this isnt needed and if it was added the neighbor would be OP, you just have to play strategically
and if you have difficulty doing these, don't worry, everyone used to and you just need to practice
