Game stopped opening | Hello Neighbor Games | Page 1

Secret Neighbor worked fine until the Guest or Taxidermist update (I forgot which). Now if I try to open the game I only ger this screen and a few seconds later the game crashes. Anyone know how to fix this? Platform is PC Steam. Not even a redownload helped.

Hi, these are steps that you can try, it might help.

Make sure that your GPU and Windows are up-to-date and that your PC meets the minimum requirements;
Check if your internet connection, and especially latency, is optimized for gaming;
Completely delete any file on your Secret Neighbor installation folder and rename (to anything) your "Secret Neighbour" folder under %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Hologryph;
Reinstall the game and run it again;
Run the game as an " Admin"

I'll try those. The game did run well before so PC requirements shouldn't be an issue. Now when it comes to deletion do I lose all of my save data?

Also tried to verify files and now it shows a new error

Nah, it shouldn't delete your progress.. on the other screen I don't know so if nothing up helps, then wait what the team says then.

you won't lose your cosmetics since those are saved on the games servers

the only thing that u might lose is lever editor maps that aren't posted in the workshop and possibly some settings

then in that case you have no issue with deleting saved data on the hologryph folder

Nope still doesn't open

It still shows the first error I sent here

The steam app load error was an anti-virus issue though so I can pass that by just disabling anti-virus for a bit.
