the root motion part here is the neighbor playing a turn around animation while walking at the same time
the part when he stops isnt root motion but just a simple stop walking animation (also wanted to suggest this a while ago but never bothered to)
for example hnvr also has stop walk/run anims (though im not even sure if theyre being used)

rootmotion would not affect it negatively just make him feel more alive if anyone they could still make it look snappy because rootmotion is just a tool you could still animate something to move snappy
