So, instead of moving npc locations when the player figures out a piece to a puzzle, if the player is spotted in a location or if a noise is heard constantly, the NPC will more likely be in that area waiting for your arrivial. Same can be said for hidding spots, you hide somewhere constantly, they'll more likely check it next time
