I feel like the old ambience what was what made the game feel unique in a way and combining it with the new ones would make the games music feel less repatative.

They added it back but it sounds bad because they combined the only the 3rd layer of the old ambience with the new one
The reason the old ambience sounded good was because it supported each other

Although I think they might have forgotten to fully change the ambience back as the ambience now follows the order of the old one, just only 1 ambience has the music changed
Or their just very stubborn and are trying to add it back as little as they can
