Actually Neilson can go into the bastment but you have to be really close to him for him to actually follow you downstairs, unfortunately Mr.Peterson is just Mr.Peterson

That is true that he can go down these stairs but his AI doesn’t so that needs to be fixed.

The only reason he would go down is if he saw you run in their,
long basin
I believe if I remember Keith would follow you into the basement in a older version on switch actually he still does on switch in the current version
