The launch of Hello Neighbor 2 wasn't terrible, but generally quite dishonest and kinda scammy. You lied to the fanbase about the neural network, and produced a relatively small, four hour long game, despite the hefty price tag of $40. The DLC's still suck, and don't really fit into a game that was supposed to be about an open world. Hey, the open world still isn't here! I don't see why all the houses can't be open from the get go.

We're still lacking key Hello Neighbor features, even excluding the neural network. The AI still easily loses the player, if you go around a corner, the AI often has no clue where you went. We hardly got a variety traps, just brear-traps. And we still lack teased characters like the man in the hat. The story and mystery is non existant, the mysteries teased in the beta are wiped from the full game. Yet we have hardly gotten many big or frequent updates, and now you move on to other projects like some new game, and the animated series.

Please, focus your effort on what should've been the grand sequel and comeback to the poorly received Hello Neighbor. You want the game series to no longer be dead? Make up for past mistakes, focus your companies recources, effort, and marketing on Hello Neighbor 2.

yes they are actively trying to improvethe game

#

man in the hat and Beatrix have been teased to return in the latest patch

patch 9, which added the forest area and the guest to the game

I’m curious how much the rest of the patches are planning on adding, since supposedly the current game is just chapter 1, but it’d be weird if they just released content doubling the length of the game with very little fanfare

#

Like if they end up adding anything super big it’d make you wonder why they even released the game in its current state in the first place

Tbh I really agree, patch 9 was really good but I dislike how people forget everything else just because of patch 9, also updates have been slightly slow, patch 9 had some "false" advertisement with "wip" ofc they put a safeguard onto the teasers so they can say "well we said work in progress" but they teased a giant house for the halloween update and it ended up not being in the patch with the excuse "well we said wip..." You could also easily say all teasers of hn2 pre release were wip too.

#

And the year is over now and the 2023 roadmap didn't completely finish so they lied about that too, yes some stuff that it said got added, but they were also in plural and some of the promised stuff in the roadmap are missing.

#

I would advice to always take tinybuild teasers with a heavy grain of salt, they always put "wip" in the title so they can backtrack to it and say "well we said WIP"

I dont think they have ever said "we said work in progress" as an excuse

or at least thats a common theory

#

also each of the games has a different team working on it

creating hype for it

#

but since it had wip in the title that's why it wasn't in the halloween update

#

It was obviously hype bait I don't hate tinybuild but that was obviously to create hype

#

and just putting wip in the title so they don't "have" to add it

#

It clearly wasn't even NEAR finished they knew it wouldn't be in the halloween update

#

Not hating tinybuild just pointing it out

Agree with this, at least if TinyBuild was transparent about what they could and could not accomplish within a given time frame, we'd have a better understanding of what we're dealing with
