I think it would be more fun if instead of a leaderboard, for example, there was a weekly fulfillment contest where you can get coupons. It would be about fulfilling various goals, for example in the sense of helping others as much as possible when a neighbor grabs them, or helping the most from traps, finding keys of course.

Objectives could also help focus the game in a more collaborative style, for example for detectives to help other players open cellar locks, inventors to give away as many products as gifts to others, etc.

The ranking is useless, the order of the players is still the same. Moreover, it doesn't say anything about the player anyway, except that it only warns others about the player's potential abilities, and that in itself affects the game, in my opinion, quite negatively in terms of bullying both newbies and regular players.

While such a weekly themed competition would give room for players to rotate in the competition rankings, new players would appear and old names of players no longer playing would disappear.

A final thought is that in today's version of the game players only collect coupons until level 100 and then they can't, so I think these contests would give some players back the desire to play as their favorite characters instead of literally having to play as other characters, when maybe they don't enjoy it.

To make it more interesting, there could be some token prize for participating in the contest, such as 200 coins as another opportunity to spend them on.
