There's a chance that you can save yourself from the neighbors grasp when being grabbed while holding an item because it drops and sometimes damages the neighbor. This can happen with any item bjt this mostly happens with any kinds of chairs and can be easily exploited.
With chairs this works like 4 out of 5 times which is just ridiculous.
Probably on other platforms too.

It doesn't look intended that you can save yourself by not pressing anything and having luck on your side.
