I think SN would be much better if the Journalist and Taxidermist are removed. This was initially a game about kids breaking into Peterson's basement, and I have zero clue why two unrelated characters were introduced. I thought they were just a part of the Halloween event, but it's past Christmas now and I don't think they should stay permanently.
Reasoning:
-
Visually, they stick out like sore thumbs. In the character selection menus, they have nothing in common to the others. Quentin, an adult man, is put on the same tier as children, forcing the devs to rename the 'Kid' class to the 'Explorer' class. Meanwhile Kinander is put on the same tier as several forms of Peterson, the same person. Now. I'm aware the Guest isn't the Neighbor either. Perhaps that should be another feedback post.

Gameplay-wise, these two characters don't bring much to the game either. The Journalist's abilities seem like knock-offs of the Leader and Detective's speed and camera skills, and the taxidermist has nothing but a gun (which has already been deemed OP) and a sonar-looking thing...?
-
Within the story of SN, if there even is one, there seems to be no correlation between Quentin and the children, or between Kinander and Peterson. At least the kids and Peterson have encountered the Guest in some fashion, but Quentin and Kinander seem so out of place in the SN realm. In the instance that the game is not canon, it raises other issues--like the relevance of lore-related events, the story implications of each map (except map 3, that's a whole other question)
TL;DR:
With much respect to everyone on the SN team and all the work they've done thus far, Quentin and Kinander should be cut from the game. Their mechanics are just duplicates, and they do not fit in the classes or in game's lore. As temporary characters for a seasonal/holiday event, sure why not. But as permanent options, I just don't think it works. Simply put, Quentin is not a kid, and Kinander is not the Neighbor.
