  1. Use a Steam account that has Hello Neighbor on it. Steam will not let you download the game if you do not own it.

  2. Go to your browser and type steam://open/console and enter it. It should open Steam with the console (you will need Steam open before you use this command).

  3. Find the release date of the patch you want to download. All patch release dates can be found on https://steamcommunity.com/app/521890/allnews/.

  4. Go to https://steamdb.info/depot/521895/manifests/ and find the manifest ID for the patch you want. The seen date should be the same as the patch note release date.

  5. For version 1.1.6, the manifest ID should be 5230862338409122113. Go to the Steam console and use this command: download_depot 521890 521895 5230862338409122113

  6. Wait for the game to download. You will find the game in Steam\steamapps\content in a folder called app_521890.
