Reporting a player ingame is or atleast feels pretty useless currently because you don't know if the report even did anything.
Some popular games have added "Player Report Feedback" to fix that issue.
On my platform there are 2 common teamers who I report everytime I see them teaming. There was a period where I haven't seen them for a long time but now they are back. They could have been banned for a while or they just took a break. I will never know.
I would also suggest adding "Player Report Feedback" to secret neighbor because players who get reported are usually a big cause of frustration which leads to many people stop playing.
Basically what "Player Report Feedback" is that the game tells you the next time you log in (or wherever it might tell you) that the player you have reported has been banned or punished in another way.
You will also be given the (most of the time) info of:
-Player name
-Reason of ban (teaming, exploiting, etc)
-Ban time
-Day of action
