Now Ik people have said nothing was behind there but incase you were planning for something to be behind it it would be cool seeing it in full game and perhaps the puzzle to unlock the door as well.

there seemed to be concept art for the boarded up room so probably at some point it was definitely supposed to be something before they put in a wardrobe
maybe another entry way in but from what I've heard it was supposed to originally be another way to go to the 2nd floor
it was supposed to be the 2nd floor going to the bear head room
it was also in the E3 trailer too iirc

The space behind where the door would be is already being used for the room behind the painting so I dont think this would work
