When you step on a bear trap you have to mash the jump button to get out.

Maybe also make it so you have to hold down a button to disarm a bear trap.

It should make a loud sound, attracting the neighbor. Just like in the first game

Some kind of short speed and limping animation would also be a fair and cinamatic consequence.

it’s crappy that they completely scrapped this mechanic. it was probably the only enjoyable thing from HN1: ted would respond to you breaking his windows, (not omitting the fact that the man is legally deaf and cant hear footsteps) but now he just doesnt care at all.

They could do something where all the ai's can place them

Or they could make specific traps for each house, so the bakery would some sort of trap, but the police house would have something different

I agree with this, getting caught in a bear trap is not at all punishing in the slightest, and it would make bear traps an actual threat instead of, ‘oh noo! I gotta hit E!!’

progression systems of ai aggression should match yours, otherwise it becomes extremely one sided

they also should start adding traps to frequent escape areas

He can shoot u and catch u

Then u lose an item and cuz of how cramped his house is. Its pretty hard to get into it sometimes so its already annoying to sometimes get the item back

The main intention of this post is for the traps to add a real sense of danger because the bear traps really suck in this game and they need a buff

#

It’s also meant to cut off the player because escaping is very easy because there is a exit on every corner.
