Adding a day and night cycle to the game would make it even more immersive and interesting. I feel like it would add another level of challenge, and also serve as a reason to add back the sleep mechanic to avoid/trigger certain sequences that appear during specific times, e.g. the guest roaming around at night, the museum only being open at night, etc. If story sequences like the nightmare stuff is dependant on a specific time of day, just disable the cycle for that brief period. In the sky, it's just a simple tick box. Tick it off during cutscenes, and have it on during gameplay.

Adding a flashlight and making the night a bit darker would also improve the horror aspects.
