so I got a new gpu recently and started playing SN on ultra and it stutters alot. even on medium. I used to play on medium on my old gpu and it ran fine with no stutters. My PC can also run pretty high end games such as: Spider-Man Remastered, Spider-Man Miles Morales, And Etc. here are my specs:
Intel Core i5-2400
8GB Ram
AMD Radeon R7 360 Series
500GB HDD and 111GB SSD
#game stuttering alot

Isn't the CPU not the minimum?
minimum is i5-3330
but my cousin has the same cpu and gpu(nvidia instead of AMD but the gpu's specs are pretty much the same)
and his game runs smoothly
so it's not the cpu
nor the gpu
@autumn trail
Hmm not to sure what's causing it, you have the minimum system requirements, so this is odd
really odd
maybe reinstalling the game will fix it?
i higly doubt so
i dont really think there will be anything on yt
https://tinybuildgames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/20397004865684-The-game-doesn-t-start
Maybe try some articles if not submit a request
ignore the name, there are more articles
alr
also what settings do you think I should play on with the game still be looking good
@zenith meadow
well my laptop does not meet the minimum requirements and i have to play on very low, to be honest the game still looks good even with the lowest settings, but i would reccomend, everything medium, textures high, effects low and well i think thats it, but if you wanna change some settings you can
alr thanks
I used to play on a very bad laptop and even on low it would lag so much
my laptop plays on 50 fps max and it kinda lags aswell
nice
Have you tried opening a request?
I used to play at like 20 fps lol
about this issue?
I'm doing that rn
Alright
in zendesk
Ouch
i am also facing this issue @tight narwhal
it's good to know that I'm not the only one
thank god
just sent an email with zendesk
i cant play sn when i open the game it started to freeze and stuttered
oh wow
everytime it does
does it crash?
The Specs might be the issue
yeah
i still dont think its the specs
I had to buy a whole new gpu to fix the game crashing
because i am playing from 1.3 version
Here are the minimum system requirements
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
OS: Windows 7 and up.
Processor: Intel Core i5-3330 3.0 GHz, AMD FX-8300 3.3 GHz.
Memory: 6 GB RAM.
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, Radeon R9 270.
DirectX: Version 11.
Network: Broadband Internet connection.
Storage: 5 GB available space.
game version?
Do you have any reason why it crashes?
when i update the game to halloweeen 2023
it was working very smooth
from somedays it started like this
idk it is specs issue
it started crashing for me after the halloween update 2021 or 2020
what are your specs
for me the crashing problem would began 2023 halloween
i am replacing my graphics card
to i5 6500
what's the graphics card?
which one?
still it is running sn
if it is old then that explains why it's crashing
i can tell its very old
but my crashing begans from halloween 2023
it was working smoothly without crash in 1.5.0.2
same with me. it started crashing after some updates
it used to run fine before
I had to change my GPU
and then it fixed
if you buy a new gpu also
crash problem will not be fixed
i am thinking its game issue
from halloween
many players are facing this issue
but they have the requirements
alot of peoples games are working fine without stutering and crashing its either gpu or something else
well thats odd
how long does tinybuild take to respond to emails?
I checked on google and it says that AMD Anti-lag causes stutter and I have it on
I'm gonna try turning it off
mm
that did nothing
like it runs at 40 - 60 fps on ultra and then it suddenly just drops to 10 fps
and then it goes back up to 40 - 60 fps and then drops again
and it keeps happening
idk why

tinybuild still hasn't responded
Hey everyone!
Meeting the requirements ensures your PC can handle the game's demands, providing a smooth and enjoyable experience. These requirements are designed to guarantee optimal performance and prevent potential issues.
In the meantime, here are some tips for improving your FPS/reduce crashes:
- Ensure that your Windows, Steam Client, and GPU drivers are up-to-date;
- Optimize your PC for gaming (e.g., by closing unnecessary apps running in the background, defragging your drives, making sure that they are not close to full, checking for potential thermal throttles, etc.);
- Try reinstalling the game or verifying the integrity of the game files. You can also delete your %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Hologryph\Secret Neighbour\ folder, which contains your in-game settings; however, be warned that this will also delete your non-uploaded custom maps;
- "Play" around with your graphics settings until you find an acceptable performance level that suits your hardware (lower resolution, shadow quality, volumetric light, details quality, etc.).
Rest assured that the Devs are also always working on improving the game's features as well as performance, and we're looking into all the players' reports.
To help us do so, it is vital that you also share your full specifications (the best way to do so is by sharing your dxdiag file: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe-dad7792c-2ad5-f6cd-5a37-bf92228dfd85) and current visual settings, together with some more details about when such performance drops take place (for example, do they happen during some specific in-game event/place/action or are they seemingly random).
Thank you!
I wonder if the base speed of the CPU does something...
I've got a CPU with a base speed of 2.10GHz. The minimum CPU is with a base speed of 3GHz.
let me check mine
It should be 3.3GHz for AMD.
I'll try to reinstall or verify the integrity of files
my pc should be able to run the game on high imo
cuz it can run so many high end games
like COD: Warzone which I'm playing rn
it's running super smooth
and my old gpu could run the game on medium settings smoothly
and that gpu was so bad
it was ddr3 and had 64 bits with 2gb vram
my new gpu has GDDR5, 128 bit and 2gb vram
My GPU struggles when I'm playing SN. The struggle isn't that horrible and it's still playable.
I do, however, have unexpected behaviours.
Games are designed using different technologies, which means that each game has a unique performance.
With the latest update, we introduced new textures that are more demanding in VRAM on high and ultra settings (8GB is recommended). As mentioned previously, start by dropping all your settings to low and then move to higher ones, checking the performance hit each time.
Also, please keep in mind that your CPU does not meet the minimum requirements and could also be a reason for unexpected behavior.
I just said that my old gpu which was ddr3, 64 bits and 2gb vram could run the game on medium even after the new update with new textures
Is the game optimized for Nintendo Switch?
also my cousin has the same cpu and his game runs fine
his gpu is also has the same specs as me
his is nvidia tho
mine is amd
so idk why this is happening for me
his game runs at high and ultra with 60 fps
My CPU is currently running at somewhere near 3.5GHz.
mine is 3.10GHz
I am verifying integrity of files
I was talking about right now. It has a base speed of 2.11GHz and it's running at 3.5GHz without using its fan.
It is, yes. 🙂
Your new GPU has 2GB of VRAM, meaning it should also be able to handle textures at medium but not higher than that.
@vocal raven please
but it stutters even on medium
which it shouldn't
but my game also runs in 60fps
Is the VRAM the shared memory of a GPU? English isn't my main language.
i have to say goodbye to my old graphics card
English isn't my main language aswell
Could you maybe take a video where your settings can be visible and then run the game until it stutters? This is going to be the most helpful for us to look into. Thank you! 🙂
i am buying i5-6500
Ima record with a phone cuz screen recording reduces performance
Hey. This is actually a CPU with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU, which still doesn't meet the minimum requirements. For reference, you can see how it compares with an R9 270 (minimum GPU) https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-HD-530-Desktop-Skylake-vs-AMD-R9-270/m33102vs3149
Oh, that is a GPU and it should run the game just fine

I can't really play the game, my GPU isn't good enough. My CPU is better than recommended tho.
I think it has 0 VRAM?
Not sure.
That's not really possible 😅 It has some amount of VRAM. Could you let me know what your exact model is?
And no, I don't know what type it is.
Yeah, that's 128MB of dedicated VRAM, definitely not enough to run the game properly.
Also, no worries about the language; nothing an online translation cannot handle! 😄
okay I figured out the issue
"partagée" means shared, incase.
I already got the game on Switch, and it's kind of better.
That's great! 🎉
As I mentioned, textures are now more demanding. However, rest assured that we're also working on improving the game, thanks to your amazing feedback!
the textures look really good even on medium
They're nice on Switch.
Thank you all for the positive feedback! It means a lot to us.
I still can't play on PC, but it's not a problem, already got the game on Switch.
