Many people want to play the game and grind at their own pace without others trying to compete with them, or being toxic to them because they are higher in the leader board. Adding an option to make your name appear as blank on the leaderboard would allow players who don't want to play competitively to enjoy grinding and leveling up without the constant pressure of others trying to outdue them. Also adding an option to disable your badge from your character (or even select the badge you want to wear) would be a nice customization option.
