When you finish the game, it says you have unlocked free exploration mode. But, its basically just all the houses unlocked with worse AI.
I think they should add a toggleable option in free exploration mode that makes the neighbors not able to catch you, or either just remove them. So you can take for example more screenshots in their homes and investigate the houses more carefully.

exactly, if you want to investigate. its annoying that the neighbors keep interrupting you. so if you want to investigate peacefully, you could just toggle it. kinda like peaceful in minecraft

No what I mean is that in free exploration mode, there is nothing to investigate in the houses, since you already did that in story mode
