Quentin's current Surveillance ability is pretty bad, and just makes his kit, or abilities, overall weaker. Also, Quentin's is known for his "iconic" drone, and seeing it not be utilized disappointed me because it could have some serious potential and could make him a much more viable class to choose from, because right now he just feels like a worse Detective and people only use him for his "Dash" ability. I've decided to come up with an idea, or concept, of how this new ability rework could be implemented into the game.
Alright so, here's the idea:
Ability: Surveilling Drone
Cooldown: 35 seconds
"Quentin is an experienced..."reporter", able to watch from the sidelines and provide crucial information to himself and the team."
Quentin can deploy a small drone and is able to control it. The Drone can travel both horizontally and vertically, up to a maximum
vertical distance of 16 meters. During this time, Quentin can use the drone's "Scouting" ability, which will perform a small
radar scan, detecting any important items, Explorers, or the Neighbor. However, it comes with it's downsides.
The drone not only has a limited battery life, but it also is vulnerable in while the air. If the drone is hit by any object that is thrown at it,
the drone will crash, and this ability goes on cool-down. If the drone runs out of battery instead, then Quentin must collect the drone and recharge
it, which extends the cooldown by 10 seconds. The drone's Scouting ability can only be used every 5 seconds, and the drone has a battery life
of 32 seconds. The Neighbor is notified, only for a few seconds, if he is detected by the drone.
