The doors in the game are really, really loud. If AI can hear the tiniest footstep on glass, then so can they hear a loud creaking door. Maybe add a function that notifies the AI when a door has been opened loudly. Another feature that fits well is a open a door slowly/sneakily so it causes less noise, maybe if you hold the button or another way to do it so the AI doesn't hear the player. This could (probably) make the game more interesting and cause a bit more tension, like how in hn1 pre alpha with the time it took to unlock the lock, how it builded up tension as you didn't know where Theo was. Speaking about doors, we could have some more animations for the doors, like a door slam opening animation (AI is chasing you, you close door on them, they smash open the door).

didn't they made it so that in the demo of hn2, the ai would hear you opening doors?
I remember the ai would instantly react to a door opening, but not in the full game
maybe make it so if you crouch, you open doors silently
and if you stand and walk, you open it normally
i was thinking that
Nah instead they should add feature where you kick a door open automatically if you run into it
Jokes aside more stealth options like this would be apreciated
Stealth is mostly an option that ussualy just wastes the player's time since the AI's in the main game arent really a threat
