#some quality of life stuff to add to patch 9 SPOILER WARNING

  • make sure after expansion main game/story doesn't reset back to the beginning cutscene and screw up progression (it kind of softlocks after the bakery level if you've completed the main story before the expansion)
  • in the expansion, add methods of calling the cart back to checkpoints (where it starts/sawmill, all of the guard posts)
  • if possible, make sure guest doesn't glitch into church or get stuck where player must escape out of (in front of doors etc.)
  • fix expansion ending cutscene during parts where keyframes are used to animate making it look choppy
  • during part with pressure plate puzzle in expansion catacombs/area you get to after you drop the bell into the floor make sure pressure plate function cannot be reversed (if you run into pressure plate quick enough you can invert the function of the gates closing i.e pad=on gate=closed but if too quick you can cause pad=on gate=open therefore (sorta) softlocking puzzle unless you figure out how to roll the barrel lmao)
  • in starting room in sawmill (one with drones and generator with 3 fuse slots) make it either a complete safe room for people that spawn or the drone area a safe room/the guest does not trigger if player is there or possibly doesn't go in at all
  • on minecart that holds boards, make sure speed is not affected by loose or glitched boards underneath cart that cant be removed (causing the cart to move at a snails pace) or make it so objects don't affect the cart at all
  • if player on the cart wooden side platform thingy, don't smush player into closed fence when cart reaches a checkpoint, i.e make it stop before it reaches the fence so player doesn't get stuck
  • make sure boards left on doors after transitioning/deloading or death can still affect guest, so he doesn't open door even though its clearly blocked (somewhat rare bug)
  • if possible, improve overall optimization in expansion for players with low end devices and also on very high graphics

  • make sure incline positions for building in church are clearly stated (yellow rags, paint indications, etc.)
  • make sure chair that the hat sits upon is not grabbable in church, it ruins immersion
  • if possible, improve overall grab animations for misc items (big boxes, barrels, etc.)
  • if possible to identify, fix bug where during fast board taking with hammer, inventory and entire pickup function can break causing player to not be able to open doors, grab things, press e on stuff, etc. (happened to be a bit idk about others) it can be fixed by climbing temporarily

  • add new game/reset progression buttons on menu reset progress screen (add buttons on images for progress like the add-ons)
  • add nail that shows boards connected (where player hammers onto object, place nail decor like in the trailer)
  • if possible, for floating boards like in the church, add a "wait time" for boards to finish building and new boards attach to floor so it doesn't look like it's floating, i.e placing board on floor will cause more boards to build themselves and attach all the way down to the ground like scaffolding) during the wait time (could be 5 or 2 seconds depending on the height) the player cannot place another board during this time until its finished
  • make it so respawning in new location after leaving is always the entering tunnel rather than the previous saved location
  • for main story mode/map: make museum bathroom door unlocked but put needed book in a locked cabinet (put small door that's locked via bolt where book currently sits) - doggerboi
  • for broken church window, place static box mesh in front so player can jump into it if church door is locked without having to use boards, when guest breaks the boards it glitched his animations out for the rest of the game
