Hello Neighbor 2, would definitely be a lot more cooler if it had the mechanic to examine objects. Maybe it would say, what they would do a lot of other games have this nowadays one being the Resident Evil series. Please add this in the game. (This is just a quick overview test video someone made) Edit: I forgot to add, maybe there would be an examine icon maybe it could be a hand or a eye symbol maybe we'd have to left click the mouse button to examine it.

Theres this game called "unfortunate spacemen"
its a good game and its free on steam.
they have an item inspection in that game too I really liked. Instead of having to go in your inventory and select the item "which would take forever," you just pressed a button "I think it was G in the game" and you would raise up the item into view. then you could move your mouse around to turn your hand I beleive. I would personally prefer where I could just raise my hand up to check out the item, opposed to spending five minutes trying to find it in the pause menu like alot of games have it
