Here's my idea for how ambience/music could be used in Secret Neighbor:
- Normal early game ambience(s) play when there are 3 - 5 kids left. This ambience remains the same and doesn't increase or get more intense
- During the time there are only 2 kids left, or the time the crow will usually mark the key, a new ambient track plays (you can call the track Crow Marks The Key). This track would be more intense than the normal ambience.
- Final child ambience would be for the final kid obviously that won't change
- And then a specific track for when the basement is open. (Honestly just bring back the old basement open ambience for this, it did not need to be removed)
Then there's environmental ambience:
- During normal nighttime/sunset weather types crickets play when outside
- During rainy and foggy weather types trees blow and you can hear the wind rustling when outside
- During daytime birds chirping can be heard when outside.
These changes to ambience will add more atmosphere and tension to the game.
