I don't use aim assist but I clearly know it works for slingshots and rifles.
Know all those scouts that hit 100% of thier shots? 100% aim assist spamming with the slingshot. Unless it does not work for it because I can't be bothered to test but I already know it works for rifle.

Aim assist for scout slingshot spammers = down fall.
