This is going to be very elaborate on what the AI should be like:
Base idea: instead of a Neural Network it would be a Player Core, it will focus on the player playing mainly and will still have Community based actions only if the AI is unsure of what the player would do in that situation, the Core would work based on learning and remembering EVERYTHING the player does such as, Favorite Hiding Spots, Favorite Break In Entrances, Favorite Escape areas and exits and ETC, it will also remember its mistakes and player mistakes to be able to improve from the mistakes and to remember the player will also.

Hearing, when an AI hears something it will keep in mind the location, Area and exact spot the sound happened in, if it continues to happen in that Area they will start to become suspicious and will then check hiding spots in that area next time, or if it here’s sound all around the place they will become very suspicious.

Eyesight, the AIs eyesight will be very far ranged, but the further away the more blurry for the AI, causing sudden movement from a far distance to make the AI question what they saw and will go check.

Chase Mode, one massive defect in the game is the Chase, here’s how it should work, if the AI spots the player it will ALWAYS know where the player is, if the player leaves its eyesight for longer than 10 seconds, L then the AI will lose the Player, the reason I think this is appropriate is because it will make the Chases in the game work appropriately, and actually feel scary, also taking in the AI core, the AI will remember past chase to take into effect, to be able to cut the player off or outsmart the player.

Hunt Mode, Hunt Mode will work more appropriately based on the AI core, if losing a player the AI will first check the Area it lost the Player, and then will slowly work it’s way around checking each hiding spots and so on, they will slowly work they’re way around the whole place.
