It wouldn’t be really attuned to the storyline of the game so I think it would work better in a customisable sandbox mode
It is tentable to have a storyline in the game, as the sequel is opposed to open world
And the main problem is the sequel focuses on missions and not exploring different objectives in different environments
having a day night selection wouldnt fix the problem, the way to fix the problem would be to get rid of the levels altogether and only have 1 main level itself
I dont see that's how it will work
Because
- They are gonna have to reset the whole project of the game
- It is gonna cost a lot of budget, which they don't have that much now
- It is best to save their budget by making day and night level selection

They should just improve the story by adding more days and nights

They should also add small side missions around map to that give lore and benefits
