Make the neighbor scarier and the music scarier when he chases u i would just laugh at the neighbor cuz he tryna scare me off his property.
and it ends up being funny. Make the AI harder to get around maybe give the neighbor more things to do maybe he can cook food ot you can bring back the milk bottle that he drank all the time and the sleeping pills.

Also the hn1 neighbor is very goofy 💀 he’d start jumping in the corner saying Ha! and getting stuck on door frames and bear traps throwing stuff at me
Hes just dumb he would keep jumping when im right above him he wouldn’t bother tryna get up there but jump

Honestly I agree with this. HND is straight up a pretty boring game, it's good level design and competent AI but the gameplay loop basically is just repeating the same task over and over. Making Peterson and the overall atmosphere scarier in that game would at least make it entertaining for a spook.

Maybe even some AI Features from Hello Neighbor 1 like more idle activities and vaccum cleaner dragging would benefit HND as well.

If they removed the visual effect when the neighbor is close and added back the pre-alpha chase music it would be more scary because he could be around a corner and you dont know it then the loud music plays.

the neighbor being creepily unresponsive to stuff being thrown at him in pre-alpha and alpha 1 was what fuelled this game’s scary nature
and his general ai not being hot garbage also helped a ton
the second they added throwing stuff at him was what killed it
