Ok, so i know people won't really agree with me on this one but here's the thing. You can do so much more with a story if you simply bump up the rating to a teen at least. I'm not asking for Mature where there's blood everywhere and a super scary horror game, i'm asking to release that restraint. It makes ZERO sense why the AS can have the bloody scenes and death while in HN2 it's just a 'family friendly' game. Otto LITERALLY has a gun and can shoot you, but he refuses to punch you? What is this logic?

I know there's going to be the whole 'well the game's already out we can't really change the age rating.' however i think as long as the game has a disclaimer before you launch it (that you can turn off in game) or you re-release it when it fully comes out with the new 'T' rating it should work.

tl;dr Make the game at least T rated, no extreme blood. Just allow yourself to breach that boundary.

this is why AS and HN2 should just swap.

HN2 gets all the updates and the version that has the not for kids stuff, and AS becomes the kid friendly thing that gets monthly updates.

I agree with this. A higher age rating would allow the devs to add much more to the game. Also its been so long since HN1 released that any 10 year olds that played it in 2017 when it first came out are now 16 anyway.

So it's already not exactly what you'd call "family friendly." HN2 isn't even rated that because of "horror."

The main reason for the 12 rating is "moderate violence." I'm guessing that's referring to the intro and shovel scene, Otto's gun, the bear traps and then the ending cutscene.

As much as I want the game to be less family friendly unfortunately they wouldn’t really appeal to the target demographic as much and might lose money, which is a big no no for a company like TinyBuild. That being said I do like that they made the cartoon a little more mature and again it would be kinda cool if they made the next game a little more mature kind of like what they did with the cartoon
