I was thinking it would be neat if the time of day changed when the player makes progress through the game. (Having it all take place in the same day with no changes at all seems a bit off. Heres how it could work:
Since the kids get kidnapped one by one that could be the triggering for changing the time of the day
1st kid gets captured: Its evening
2nd kid gets captured: The sun is setting
3rd kid gets captured: Its night

I dont mind most of the game taking place at day
but I would appreciate it if they had time change the more the play progresses
The part with Ivan being the alone in the treehouse with all of his friends missing felt a bit ominous
imagine how improved that part would be if it was also night
