So, i got the game and i was looking forward to playing it after months of waiting. It launched and ran perfectly fine however it soon froze (due to me leaving the vr on, thanks to me needing to do irl things) and after I closed out of it and restarted it crashes my computer. It ALWAYS does this now. SteamVR works perfectly fine, however now this game just randomly crashes my pc. I verified my files, I reinstalled it, idk if my save data got corrupted but i feel sad that i wasted a giveaway key that could have gone to someone else. .n.

I hope this can be fixed though. My pc has a good graphics card.

so, i put the problem down to when oculus links to the game

i can boot up the game fine without oculus link running but the moment i try to, it will crash my entire pc and restart

which error code do you get when it crashes?

You could brute force it and delete everything related to the game and reinstall

Because steam doesnt fully uninstall/reinstall it

update, doesn't work. the oculus link seems to be the problem.

So, a temporary fix is to use air link, it works now! But seems like using the link cable breaks the game

Hi! Thank you for all the information and potential workaround provided. Could you please let us know what your PC specifications and Headset is? Crashes are also commonly caused by outdated graphics cards, so please ensure that everything is up to date.

i use a windows 10 pro with 16 GB of ram, along with a radeon 570 graphics driver, up to date.

The headset is the classic quest, which was able to run the game perfectly fine when i did air link and when it first launched.

Sadly, the AMD RX 570 is below the game's GPU requirements (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB / AMD RX Vega 56 8GB or better). Additionally, Quest 1 is also currently not on our list of supported headsets. While we're extremely grateful for the suggested workaround - and we will also look into it - we cannot guarantee that the game will run as intended. Thank you for understanding.
