Hello there! I'm just making a quick Feedback Post so I can tell others what I feel this update should potentially include and/or address. I figured instead of addressing the usual player experience, I'm tackling the developer experience. These are ideas that would generally benefit them in the long-run i'd feel.
Internal Organization
*One of the main things I feel will benefit the developers most, is the chance to internally sort out file structures so they're more organized akin to the game's Playtest/Beta Build.
This would lead to them finding assets much easier, leading to less confusion on the team.*
Taking Out The Trash
*This title is a bit vague, but I'll try to explain best what I mean here.
I am referring to axing any obsolete things in Hello Neighbor 2. One prime example others and I have mentioned in the past is the AI's Behavior Tree, which has many unused/redundant areas that could use axing. *
Cleaning The House
*As this title may suggest, this refers to polishing aspects of Hello Neighbor 2 that already exist to maximize optimization & efficiency.
This doesn't really refer to new features, however. This usually means optimizing and/or redoing certain bits in code to achieve the same outcome, but in a much cleaner/more understandable fashion.
The internal features of the AI Base are already extremely flexible, which allow for easy creation of Behaviors and Objectives/Tasks. However, those systems aren't ALWAYS reliable 24/7. Sometimes, they need tweaks/changes to overall improve them, and the creations made by them.*
Final Words
*These are just a couple of my ideas for this update. I do not wish to add more, since I don't want to potentially overwhelm any of the developers.
I mainly added these suggestions to turn this update into a chance for the developers to internally sort things out so their workflow can become even easier.
Hopefully this post is neat, and to the point. Thanks for listening!*
