Hey there! I just wanted to report people's findings and make this post in hopes that this gets addressed. Fans have been able to essentially deconstruct the game's AI Systems, and have found out that those systems are VERY messy/cluttered.
Some things like the Peeping behavior from the HN2 Alphas are here, the Attack Behavior Tree is extremely cluttered and nearly incomprehensible, other random tasks that are handled elsewhere are also in here for some reason, etc.
I just wanted to report it in hopes that this gets addressed. Cleaning this stuff up will likely result in the AI Stopping Glitch no longer being a thing, and might also fix numerous other AI-Related Issues.
TL;DR: AI Systems are cluttered/messy, and needs cleaning out. Maybe even a partial rewrite.
Hopefully ya'll understand that I want HN2 to be more of a fun/smoother experience for everyone. Something like this will probably take time to do, but I feel like it would definitely be worth it in the end. Thanks a lot for listening!
