#New Trap Ideas

With the reveal of traps being in this update I want to pitch some unique ideas that'd keep the gameplay interesting with traps that can be set up or are automatically in the map.

  1. Tomato Flinger/Catapult
    Select doors or areas with tripwires will have a contraption of sorts on the walls or the floor that when triggered (kid opens a door or crosses a tripwire) it will fling a tomato at the player and possibly blind them for a second. These are resetable as long as the player has tomatoes in the current map.

  2. Broken Fridge
    A kitchen (or place with fridge) exclusive trap. Rarely the fridge is tampered with and it causes it to become overly freezing. When nearby these broken fridges kids and/or the neighbor will become cold, with the effect becoming more intense if the doors are open. These fridges can be disabled of course with the right know how (Inventor or kids with hammers.)

  3. Power Surge
    As a result of either opening something or manually set up via the neighbor the power will surge in the house. This will lead to certain things going haywire, like the lights and the gates. Sometimes these can be useful for the rescue squad in terms of manipulating the gates for their benefit.

  4. Fireworks
    Usually found in storage, these can either be manually placed and lit or can rarely be already set up as a trap. When triggered, they will have a short build up time before they go off. They will blind anyone looking at them temporarily and maybe even reduce their hearing for a moment. Snowballs can be used to put their fuse out or perhaps glue
