I thought of an idea in the final part of the game (FINAL BOSS) is whenever the player gets caught, it shows a button telling you to mash the button to break free, Why? Because if you didn't know, Mr Peterson tried to kill you by choking you, until Quentin lured Aaron downstairs, which made the neighbor let you go, and since everytime we get caught by him, he mostly grab us and that's it and we get sent into the 3rd upper floor (attic) and I thought of a cool mechanic like this to exist, so i'll show you how you will break free, when you mash the button, Quentin kicks Mr Peterson in the stomach to let go, He does this with his full force, leaving him injured, which can give you a chance to get the wrench or hide. And if you fail then he lets you go, but instead of getting up, you pass out, and get sent to the 3rd upper floor again.

really like it, i actually liked the mechanic of hn1 where u can break free, this can be useful for the final boss (because hes also fast that old man can be flash)

Like the idea, thing is though is this wouldn’t work for the finale boss since that gets rid of the purpose of it being hard.

In fact, the neighbor going to you very quickly doesn't make the game hard but unfair and not in a great way
I also thought of it being a 1 time chance of you breaking free from him and if you succeed or fail, you waste it and, you won't be able to use it again
