#ideas to make the game good in (my opinion)

Story updates to make the game scary. There should be sequences where the neighbor or crow man. (One of them) should go to your base and try to kidnap you but you have to hide if you fail you get a game over screen or buried alive or something and have to return to a check point. These sequences could have jumpscares or scary parts where you could see the enemy walking past where your hiding or looking for you.

The reason for them kidnapping you is all up to the developers

(READ THE REST THE COMMENTS) (I EXPLAIN MORE THINGS I WANT TO SEE AND A WHOLE NEW INTRO FOR THE GAME)

The carnival would be a good location to add where the crow man would hunt you down or jumpscare you and the you would have to run through corridors or tight corners ti escape him.

Another thing would be for the crow man to hunt you down at night which would give you a reason to sleep! To change the time and not deal with him. Sometimes sleeping would activate a level where Mr Peterson or the crow man break into your house to kidnap you!

THE INTRO OF THE GAME COULD BE BETTER:

I think the intro is pretty cool but should be playable and have more story here’s my idea:
Quentin is in a new town replacing the missing journalist and trying to find a big story. He hears about the missings persons situation and a journalist job in raven brooks by seeing news papers. (Quentin lives in a town near by)
He takes the job which would play the intro to alpha 2. Once he makes it to the new base he unpacks and notices how the last journalist( who’s missing) is suspecting mr Peterson (on the board) so Quentin starts watching Mr Peterson until he sees Nicky broth escaping and Mr Peterson taking Aaron back in.

Then the current intro plays where Mr Peterson sees Quentin taking pictures then he crashes bla bla.

But something is different Quentin wakes up in a Ditch and it starts a gameplay segment

Where you have blurred vision and you have to escape by being stealth (because you see Mr Peterson grabbing equipment) after you escape it plays a cutscene where Quentin gets back in his van but Mr Peterson sees him. Quentin backs up out of the barn and escapes. Almost hitting Mr Peterson by accident or on purpose. Then it switches to Beatrice (there should be segments where the game makes you play as her in different segments)

Oh yeah before it switches to Beatrice the game should have a intro showing the games title with the classic hello neighbor1 alpha 3 theme (remixed)

This intro would how the title of the game and its developers and music composer

After the intro you would play as Beatrice who works at the radio station. As she drives in she sees Quentin almost crash but sloppily park. Quentin would come out of his van. Quentin Almost walking inside the news station would faint

Beatrice would help him up then bandage his head inside. Quentin would show Beatrice what he had been working on and then he would convince her to go save Aaron.

As she goes to Mr Petersons house she notices that he’s gone but the basement is locked and she hears crying coming from it. So this would be the new first act an easy act filled with jumpscares. It would just be the bottom floor of Mr Petersons house but it would linear. You would have to walk through the house looking for stuff and the basement door would be locked from the inside BUT the outside hatch is locked on the outside! Once you explore the house you find letter blocks that show the code to the secret room under the stairs.

The room has the key to the hatch outside once you pick it up Beatrice notices the pictures that Quentin took right next to the key and the camera. She mistakenly makes the choice to go into the hatch to save Aaron. But once she finds Aaron hiding under a blanket she try’s to comfort him but then the jumpscare of the prototype of the first game plays

Where the neighbor grabs her from behind turns her around grabs the camera and he breaks it then he throws her out of the basement where it starts a sequence where you gotta leave the property before he grabs you.

Once Beatrice gets back to Quentin she shows him the pictures Mr Peterson forgot to take from her they show it to the police and that’s when the first act of the full game actually starts

And it shows a cutscene where the police takes Quentin and Beatrice off the case

#

That’s why later Quentin wants to break into the crimescene.

I feel like Beatrice should be the playable character in the new chapters while Quentin is still playable in the current chapters and maybe some new chapters

#

By the way this idea might be to much but i feel like it adds context to the game

This idea is a little rushed so please if anybody sees it give feedback and like it because I think This games does need a new intro to give the story more story

It sounds like long a essay but in reality this is just like 30 minutes of gameplay/story

To flesh out more of a reason to be invested in the story

PLUS:
I also think there should be more cutscenes to introduce the other neighbors and why they should be investigated

I think the whole Beatrix replacing Quentin as the main character is a bad idea but a 2 player coop mode with Beatrix as your colleague would be good

It's a singleplayer casual mode it's not gonna be sweaty gamers cranking 90s

What are the AIs gonna do, rage quit?
