How would losing your items be immersive and suspenseful? Its not like you can fall down when an AI is chasing you
well they should make it so an AI can chase you after falling
Alpha 1 and 1.5 did it and it was awesome
Theres no high place to fall when escaping from an AI
You only fall when your on top of a house and jump down or something
It is immersive and suspenseful cuz they could make it so the ai picks up your item and if you drop it you are in trouble because then the ai would move the item somewhere or something like that.

Like literally you can just be existing and you suddenly fall down and all your items are GONE and you have to spend Like 10 minutes looking for them

if its all your tiems then no but if its your items in hand then yes say your holding a crowbar then you would drop ONLY that crowbar

I think you got the pst wrong, if you take level 1 fall damage your items drop around you, while if you take level 2 fall damage it won’t.

Personally I think the item you are carrying should be dropped when falling from high places but the entire inventory no. Unless there was some hard mode added I couldn’t support this fully.

What if they didn't watch their step and falls down accidently, hell what if they get chased by an AI, so they have to go somewhere, but uh oh, a dead end, what should you do???? But there's a little window to fall off, so you fall off, but you lost your items 🤣🤣🤣 hahaha ha, the person has lost its item, hope they learn their lesson. No, thats not how this works, and whatever your saying will never matter or make sense, which is why I will never love this idea or love your comment or agree with.

You basically proved my point, by doing that they will keep that in note, so they don’t fall for the trap again, that’s the point of the traps, having players not lose items is basically letting them exploit traps to their advantage basically.

Sorry lol, I watched the HN2 announcement trailer and I thought it could work, but I guess it’s not a good idea with HN2’s level design
just do what alpha 1.5 did you drop only the item in your hand
not alpha 1 but 1.5
and just like 1.5 you could put away your item so you wont drop it
so then all you have to do is grab the item you had in hand

Sure, but what if the game glitches, and apparently you fell off out of nowhere, and lose an important item, you may never know if a game can be glitchy or not
Because this happened something similar, but in the beta, where the Quentin was jumping, while leaving the window open, and apparently, I got teleported to the part where I let the window open, and got out without me trying to get into the window. It apparently happened with no knowledge whatsoever
