Hello. I'm sure many of you are asking what was meant by "Sandbox."
Well, if you have played the original Hello Neighbor game, you are allowed to pick up a gigantic chunk of objects in the game.

They let you experiment with whatever you wanted to. You could even fill up containers with water and pour it out. Why? Because you could.

I want HN2 to go back to the Sandbox element, and tweak it. I'd love to experiment with things again like the good old days.

I wanna be able to pick up cones and alarm clocks. Interact with random things just to see what happens.

I hope the developers take this into consideration. I hope it's even POSSIBLE to do even a sliver of this stuff.

The town of Raven Brooks should be... Well, as said in the past... your playground.

Elaboration For Mechanics:

  • Pick Up Most Objects (minus obvious ones like light switches that can't be picked up.)
  • Openable Drawers (they don't always need something in them.)
  • Fillable Water Containers (back to school had this, but it should be possible in the base game.)
  • More Fun Objects (stuff like ropes.)
  • Interactable Objects (things like stoves you can put kettles onto)

I absolutely agree

Please. Sandbox brings replayability, Replayablity = positive reviews.

I don’t think they need to have everything be pickup able, but definitely add more experimental items like trash bags that they added.

stiff wharf
#

Yeah, i mean if eveything was a pickup, the game would lag.

Lag wouldn't be an issue I believe.

#

Hello Neighbor 1

#

(somehow)

#

managed to not really lag that much.

#

Even in ACT 3.

#

The sheer amount of objects wouldn't be a problem in Hello Neighbor 2 i'd imagine.

For the lag they could implement a system like in hn1 where an item doesnt have physics until another object or character interacts with/touches it

This would be aboslutely great, I mean if the devs don't want this as the main game then they could just have a button on the menu called "sandbox mode".

WHY DID THEY REMOVE IT!?!?!

sharp root
#

Well, it was sort of replaced. The kettle still has a use, it can be thrown in the furnace and distract the baker

Ugh

#

Maybe more like the beta

#

like not having to do stuff in order

stiff wharf
#

Non-linear, not just one solution to puzzles.

#

My only hope is that this is because of the story isn't done and the linear gameplay is there as a placeholder

How can you type soo fast!?!?!

stiff wharf

I'm a story writer.

Thats great

stiff wharf

Been one for years

bleak galleon
#

Wow

#

You need to be a story writer for hn2 unless you already are

stiff wharf
#

Heh, if only.

bleak galleon
#

Ah man

#

We need you to be a story writer for hn2

stuck eagle
