No the guest was debunked already, the guest is a demon/entity summoned by the cultist in the museum, the cultist believe him as there god/saviour, they want to use him for power, but when he was summoned he was disobedient and ran off, this lead to the cultist “stealing” the keys of the abandoned building to make sure no one would find out, the investors would also take out investment as they were also most likely cultist, also the books are being retconned because of the Animated series, so a lot of stuff might not be true in the books, also Ted/Mr. Peterson didn’t use him in the graphic novels, the guest possessed him, the guest was never a defender of the Forest and isn’t a spirit.

Well it wasn’t me, the only thing I thought of I guess is the guest being a symbol of sorts to the cult, but everything was mainly given from people in the lore chat, and overtime it was solved, you should go there and appreciate them, there really good at solving things.
