I don't like how there is no more free play my friend's xbox has free play but on my playstation it doesn't Or maybe I just need to update it again I will try again sometime soon

PlayStation is a bit out of date then Xbox so they don’t have free roam currently

Free roam is currently not in the Playstation version of the game. You're going to have to wait until they release the MEGA PATCH on consoles to get free roam most likely.
