hey man, got the same issue.
There is a pinned message listing all the bugs the developers will be trying to fix, including your issue. The only thing you can do is either try to go back to your last saved data, or if that doesn't work you'll have to delete your save data and start over. IF you really wanted to though you can just wait for the developers to patch it

i know right, the game had no hype prior to its release and the bugs have been all over, they should've at least made sure there were no bugs and promoted the game so everyone knew it was coming
