Dug up the staff after feeding the dog and it disappeared. Cant finish the game now. Also on PC game pass

Easy to say "load last save", but i finished majority of the level after the staff disappeared as i didnt know it was supposed to go to my bag. there needs to be a load options list so we can go back further.
