Controls:
The controls are stepped up from the first game significantly. Performing actions and manoeuvring around feels good!
- Grabbing items (like the shovel or crowbar) can be made easier by making the detection panel / hit box a bit larger than the object model itself.
- Opening and climbing through windows can be a bit tough when under pressure.
Gameplay:
I absolutely adore the gameplay concept of these games. The stealth escape room vibe works really well and the puzzles are great!
I suggest expanding on the gameplay from an over-world perspective. Meaning it would be nice to include additional gameplay mechanics like:
- Having an escape sequence where you need to outrun someone.
- Implement a feature that allows a player ways to break into houses (rather than just strolling in). This will make the user feel more thrilling.
- Adding items to collect scattered throughout the map which can lead to rewards when found.
- Maybe incorporate some easy platforming challenges just to shake things up from the constant puzzle solving and allow the user to regroup in between those segments.
- Pursuer should have more of their own routine which the player can interfere with.
