Got through the first 3 chapters of Hello Neighbor 2 with all of the normal issues of these games, the main offender being key items getting dropped and clipped out of existence permanently. I had to google the answer to the Clock Puzzle at the Mansion because one of the gears was forever deleted and that may have something to do with my crash.
Crash occurred upon acquiring Gear Key from Jazz Mansion. Loading screen came up, instant crash. Try to load back into the game, my save data is corrupted and deleted.
I buy these games despite the normal issues because there's a lot to enjoy, but this kind of sucked the life out of me on a game I've had pre-ordered for months. I'm also not sure why I preordered because theres already 45 dollars worth of DLC that I don't get access to despite the preorder. Straight up if you're gonna pull that kind of thing, you should fix the major bugs AT LEAST.
