Hey folks,
I finished Hello Neighbor 2 and I just wanted to give you guys some feedback, because I feel like the game needs it.

  1. Puzzles: The puzzles were a huge step up from the first game, because they make sense! They make you look around the environment and get certain items for completion, which I really liked.

  2. The AIs: The AIs were ok... They definitely need some more work put into them though. During my playthrough multiple AIs got stuck in door frames, or they just didn't move at all, which obviously is a huge problem because you have nothing to be worried about while solving puzzles. Another problem I and many other people had is that you guys promised us a neural network which learns from all the players, but you guys removed any mentions of said network in Steam just before the game released.

  3. "false promises": As mentioned earlier the AIs don't learn from the players and game mechanics which were included in the Beta (paint cans, AI status changes, AI being able to crouch which was seen in the Instagram/Twitter post, AIs being scrapped (Leslie, the Guest)) are all missing in the final game.

  4. The bugs: I only had a hand full of bugs while playing the game but that doesn't mean that it's ok. The main bugs I experienced were: missing collision in the museum garage, underneath the stairs. AIs getting stuck on objects or door frames and AIs not being able to catch the player because of collision problems.

  5. Minor inconveniences: While playing the game I noticed that when you pick up certain items to progress in the game, it teleports you back to the main news station. Which is pretty annoying, especially when you're in the flow of solving puzzles, but you need to go all the way back to the previous location. Also not being able to go into other houses from the start is kind of disappointing, I saw you guys being able to pull it off in the Beta, so why not implement it the same way in the full game?

  1. The Story: I do like the cutscenes showing us parts of the story but the ending leaving us with yet another cliff hanger is kind of disappointing. I was at least expecting to get some of our questions answered.

  2. post game updates: It's ok to make post game updates don't get me wrong but saying "be patient for upcoming events" is kind of implying the game isn't 100% finished yet.

  3. final thoughts: I do like the game, it's just that it feels kind of unfinished. Missing elements which were shown off in previous builds, unused AI statuses, unused objects/game mechanics ,cliff hanger. The advertisements showed off so many cool things which weren’t present in the full game sadly.
I have high hopes for the franchise and massive respects to the development team and artists who worked really hard on this game. <3
