Because it would confuse players who have played the first game. The first game is cannon to the HN lore.
Besides, there’d be no good reason to change it and make it a random house.

I feel like there should be a unique model but in terms of detail it should be on par with the randomized houses

I agree. Yes its not related to the story of hn2 but since in hn1 in act 3 nickeys house is acc the one standing and not the neighbors then his house should also be in hn2. This just makes everything confusing and honestly doesn't feel very professional map designing. I mean fine i kinda take hn2 a tad seperate to hn1 since the whole maps different and heck theres a road next to the neighbors house and stuff but I don't see it that different where nickey isn't apart of the story anymore

I agree, one of the most confusing things about this game is how different the map is from HN1. Imo I would have considered remaking the neighborhood from the first game then went to add all the other locations.

Who knows if they improve the first game then new comers who try the first game may get a higher chance of liking the game and then more people will possibly want to try out more games and like for example more people then will wanna try hn2 in the future
Also they should probably add a map in the basement
Like you have to find a wrench to unlock a map on the wall of the basement because my friend streamed the game and ended up not wanting to play it again after being lost in the basement for an hour
