At the least I thought it was going to be a sort of survival game after a storm or getting stranded, so you have to build a shelter etc to start off with, and then you encounter people/things coming after you thus the build more complicated structures, and eventually (Peterson) just went nuts and started making insane contraptions to fight/challenge the intruders that ||may just be hallucinations||
since I didn't really think there'd be literal kids building these sort of things
and since the series was developed/marketed as horror/survival
hallucinating intruders when you're isolated in the middle of nowhere sounded, kinda fitting, for the Character
