The Lasombian tribes would merge together in 714, rallying behind Othen I, Prince Regnant of Lasomby and forming the Principality of Lasomby. The nation focused on infrastructure, developing a connected system of transport from its capital, Omrybaras to the several cities of its north and west. The nation was practically forced to focus on its army and navy excessively, with the rapidly rising Empire of North Xina and the Holy Kingdom of Nur, threatening their hegemony over the western side of the Sea of Nem. Othen I was regarded as the founder of Lasombian identity, but following a border dispute with the neighbouring state of Grand Hijana, he was assassinated by a Hijanan supporter. The Empire focused on redeveloping itself, decisively defeating Hijana in a major war, gaining influence and territory and expanding ther cultural projection. Under Georg I, the nation transfored into the Empire of Lasomby, with the capital of Omrybaras serving as a mighty fortress of which the nation's heart and soul was projected through. Georg's ascension in 760 would see him focus on a renewed Lasombian navy, and his plan would work, as a war with the rapidly rising Markian Empire would see a phyrric victory for the Mark's, although many expected the nation to destroy Lasomby, their mighty navy dominated Markia's smaller and inferior own, showing that Lasomby still ruled its waves. However, the nation lost significant territory, including Aginos, a major port city of theirs, thus, the nation's naval prowess was relegated to an even smaller space. Geroge would reign for 60 years, dying at 78 in 820, with his son, Georg II, taking the reigns. Georg II would prove to be as wise as his forefathers, becoming known as 'The Great' for mending relations with the Empire of North Xina, now the Mousser Dynasty, and the Kingdom of Grand Hijana. However, his reign and his work to keep Lasomby a bastion of culture and stability would be undone by a single, incompetent man.

Georg II would enter a fierce competition for the throne in 844, with his cousin and ex-army general marching on the capital. He would be decisively defeated, and Georg showed him mercy, allowing him to live in exile. He sought refuge in the Markian Empire, which caused a diplomatic incident. Georg II would reign long and healthily, so much so that he was 98 when he died, an impeccable feat. His son, Otho I would take the reigns following his sad departure, and his focus on the naval wing would be a great boon for Lasomby, as after whiffs of a great invasion began, he would shell and destroy the entire Markian fleet in one fell swoop. Lasomby remaining a thorn in the side of the Markians would mean that by the time Otho I's 50th birthday rolled around, tensions were extremely high. And then, came the big bad army of the Khan. A diplomatic incident erupted after Otho's abdication, he had abdicated due to his wife's death and his stroke, leaving the throne to his 16-year-old son, Othen II who had never been taught a thing about governing a nation. yet he rose to the occasion, and fought diligently against the Markian onslaught, racking up a huge number of kills. A coalition was formed, to halt the Markians in their tracks, but a breakthrough in the front lines meant there was no hope. One by one, Lasomby's eastern cities fell, closing a major chapter of their history, ending, the Golden Age. The end of the golden age saw a centuries-long civil war in the nation, between the descendants of the 'pure bloodline', the legitimate government, and the 'offshoots', the claimants. The pure bloodline emerged victorious in 1221, The Lasombians bided their time, the nation grew in unrest and yearning, and after two hunderd years of Kings, the Mouuser seized the bastion of the nation, Omnybaras, ending the Othenian Dynasty. Or so they thought. Othen VI, the scion of the royal dynasty, returned, his resurgence, the resurgence of the family, would mark a golden age, after all.
