So from what I understand, in old days
We got caste system to help backward castes

Cuz they couldn't afford proper education, and all compared to those who were rich enough to afford (i can't explain how cast related to wealth but in those days it somehow did)

So we got a system where the more backward your caste is the more benefits you get.

You see any fee? Reduced . Any age limits? Increased. Jobs vacancies? You get your separate seats and much more.

Those works cuz a poor guy might not be able to afford fee, and die to financial issues couldn't complete studies as early as others, and couldn't afford a good institute.

But nowadays everyone has it. They own lot of houses, cars etc.

It just makes no sense to keep it in this age, but many people are benefitting from it and they won't let it go away
