While we understand that Spartans are found all over the globe, this server operates in English and Spanish.
BE RESPECTFUL
Respect everyone
Treat everyone – devs, admins, mods, and others alike – with respect. Do not attack, flame, troll, impersonate, be aggressive, or use inappropriate, discriminatory, or profane language. Additionally, do not bypass, or attempt to bypass, the bot's filter.
Moderators and Superintendents should only be tagged/pinged in case of a server emergency. For general Halo Discord server moderation questions or concerns, DM a message to @untold moat.
Be constructive
Post your thoughts and contributions in a way that encourages inclusivity and open discussion. Disparaging and non-constructive comments are not welcome.
Do not post datamined content, leaks, or spoilers with the intent to ruin experiences for others. This includes discussion, YouTube videos, screenshots, or any other media.
Quality over quantity
Keep your posts relevant, on topic, and free of spam and self promotion.
Spam includes, but is not limited to: reaction spam, memes, excessive emoji/sticker use, petitions/polls, advertising, role play, etc.
KEEP IT CLEAN
Keep it Family Friendly
This server is family friendly and we expect your username, profile picture, about me, status, and banner to be so as well.
This means no zalgo, blank usernames/avatars, unusual unicode characters, lengthy usernames, impersonation, slurs, or any other offensive material. Do not intentionally try to hoist yourself on the userlist.
Keep it topical
This is a server for all things Halo and discussion should largely be centered around Halo and gaming.
Political, social, and religious discourse are not appropriate topics, this extends to profiles as well.
Do not engage with users posting bait and do not fan the flames of discontent.
If content is removed by staff, it is not to be brought up or discussed again. You may DM @untold moat for clarifcation.
Keep it legal
This is not the place to discuss content such as pornography, promoting cheating/griefing, hacking, or modding content outside of the allowed methods, etc.
Keep it English
While we have Halo players around the globe, this server is primarily an English speaking server. If you speak Spanish, you are welcome to use #español but we ask that the rest of the server use English.
MODERATION
Your account = your responsibility
You alone are responsible for your account. If your brother/sister/dog/Frankie is using your account, you are responsible for the content, actions, and consequences. Do not click suspicious links received via DM.
Phished accounts will be removed.
No ban evasion
One account per person in the server. If/when we find alt accounts they will be banned and reported to Discord.
Listen to the Staff
Ultimately staff have the final say. If an Admin, Moderator, or Superintendent asks something of you, consider it an official request. If you have further questions, you may DM @untold moat for clarification.
