in ringworld its like, a Dyson sphere would completely encapsulate a star and the ringworld would be like a hula hoop around the star.
so there is no natural night cycle, since the sun is always directly overhead regardless of where or which side you are on. so the engineers placed a series of these large metallic square things which orbited the sun directly overhead of the ring.
That way they'd get artificial day/night cycles, but theres no setting sun, just a shadow getting closer and closer, and then instantly night as one of the squares passes directly overhead.

MJOLNIR Mk VI and onward have integrated, automatic biofoam injectors.

I suppose it could technically be used for other Spartans if removed and piped over to their armor, but... their armor should already have its own biofoam injectors, so... would be pretty redundant.
